Building on its successful greenhouse-inspired concept, The Glasshouse at Neil Road transforms a historic shophouse into an inviting coffee sanctuary. The design balances narrow architectural proportions with a bright, contemporary aesthetic. A central coffee bar anchors the room, featuring a glowing white counter with illuminated arched cutouts and a sleek workstation for artisanal pour-overs. This focal point is framed by historical facades, nodding to the building's heritage while letting natural light flood the interior. To cultivate a cozy atmosphere, the material palette leans into tactile, earthy elements. Textured plaster walls provide a soft backdrop for concentric glass sconces that cast a warm glow. Vibrant orange terracotta tiles act as striking wainscoting, beautifully contrasting with the olive-green banquette seating lining the dining area. Elegant wood furniture, including glass-topped tables with ribbed timber bases, adds a refined touch. Sheer curtains act as soft room dividers, creating intimate spaces within the bustling cafe. The result is a thoughtfully layered environment where heritage charm meets modern comfort, offering a tranquil urban retreat.
