We wanted the arrival experience to announce the store before shoppers even stepped inside, so a luminous blue threshold marks the entrance against the backdrop of the Sands' iconic sampan canal. Inside, the brief called for something that could hold its own in one of Asia's most demanding retail addresses, which led us to an industrial material palette — aluminium mesh ceilings, stainless steel, and clear polycarbonate — softened against the warmth of stained birch plywood. A mirrored, checkerboard-tiled corridor became an opportunity to play with scale and reflection, turning a simple circulation path into a moment of spectacle for shoppers above and gondoliers passing below. Flexibility was just as important as spectacle: an illuminated modular shelving system lets the space reconfigure as fluidly as the brand's own collections, so the store never feels static. All of this had to come together under an unforgiving timeline and strict landlord and authority protocols — proof, in the end, that precision and personality aren't mutually exclusive, even under pressure.
